Finally, Doug and Megan’s wonderful wedding in Carrabelle! Both the ceremony and reception were held at the groom’s family’s gorgeous beach house in Carrabelle, Florida, right on the bay. In many ways, this bride and groom truly had the ideal wedding: they kept their guest list reserved for family and close friends and held the wedding at home. What resulted was one of the most relaxed and enjoyable weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing, an unshakable bride and groom who were actually able to spend time with the people they love and who still had time to eat dinner (and a piece of wedding cake to boot!). Though the ceremony was originally slated to occur outdoors, waterside, thunderstorms were forecasted right on top of the ceremony, so the day before the wedding, Doug and his friends organized the brilliant rain plan that you see in these photos. The rain (and even a little hail), pounded the aluminum roof during the ceremony, where Doug and Megan were married in front of the open doors. Picture Perfect in every way.
